How can I capture the impact of human and nature interaction to raise awareness that our actions have consequences? I have always been drawn to incorporating nature in my photography. Upon realization that the majority of climate change is anthropogenic, or human-caused, I decided to create this portfolio to help expose this to the public. Throughout my journey I became more aware of my surroundings, and how I might leave behind a footprint, figuratively and literally.
There are negative and positive interactions. Polluting our Earth with litter Works 13 14 & 15, contrasts with gentle human interaction with animals of Works 2 & 4. In the shoot of Works 3, 4, & 5 I captured 1269 photos while practicing different angles, poses (of both butterfly & model), & lighting. While creating Work 9, process page of Work 8, I revised photo in multiple areas, double exposing two photos of deer, changing angle & positioning of deer, transparency of deer, blur of car. I also experimented with Work 12 by utilizing different leaf type & size, as well as exposure time in sun.
