Macro Photography is a great way to try a new photo technique using materials that are accessible to you! You can use the photo lens you use on the daily to create some very interesting macro photography images! Have fun creating some super cool photos using this tutorial!
A Camera
Any lens you have
Good Lighting
Something you want to photograph!
Turn on your camera and set it to the aperture and shutter speed you want.
Test the camera to see if the quality of the photo is what you want. (AKA exposure)
Press the button on the left by the camera to take of the camera lens.
Flip the camera lens so its outer side connects to the camera.
Hold on to the lens by your hand, making sure it is constantly connected to the camera.
Get close to your object and focus the camera to take the photo you want! The camera should be focused before taking off the lens, although after should also be just fine. Find whichever way works best!
You would have to hold the camera really still and make sure not to move as you take the photos.
Make sure you don’t move the lens as you take the photo as it could result to blurriness.
Since it is not actually a magnifying lens, it doesn’t actually focus on every part of the frame, instead, it focuses on a small portion of the frame.
Get as close as possible to the object to get the best results, make sure you see the camera focusing before you take a picture.
Don’t give up!!
